Quick question about the best unity workflow

Here is what I was thinking of doing I wanted to make sure this was the right way to go about things. I’m a designer, but this is my first go around with unity

•Model in Zbrush / polypaint and texture

•Rig and animate in Maya

•Particle effects in Maya

•Toon shade in unity

Should any of this be done more inside unity? I was concerned mostly about the particle effects. Thanks for any help

Unity has it’s own particle effect engines (2 of them, and each does things the other doesn’t.) 99% sure it doesn’t have Maya’s particle engine, so flat-out can’t import it. The only import for Unity’s PE’s are your textures (or spriteSheets.)

Models, animations, textures – yes, use an external tool.
