I’ve always had trouble understanding/remembering this. And it’s always a problem when I’m trying to talk to my friends about what I’m doing.
If I say “I parented A to B” does that mean I made A a parent of B, or I made A a child of B?

That’s what I would understand but maybe I’m wrong too
If the language is ambiguous from context, then use different words. In this case I would say “Made X a child of Y” or “Set the parent of X to Y”.
