I can purchase Quidam3 Studio at an educational price which will make it
cost me around $150 I think. Anyway, I want something like it for fairly
rapid development of characters for small scenes. Please comment on
whether you have used the Quidam->Animpeeple->Unity workflow and
if it has met your needs, or just provide your likes and dis-likes. I have
not seen this discussed for a while and wonder if folks have abandoned
those tools in favor of something better or …
Thanks very much for your time.

Never use Quidam3 but in my opinion their prices , at least for commercial applications , do not simply make any sense
Much better to go for DAZ
Their catalogue is huge
They offer also a poly reduction software, a texture adapter and a FBX exporter which work fine
I have made a serie a tutorials on this speciphic workflow:

In french but the use of quidam and animeeple is great and easy
These look great but my wife refused to translate one and a half hours for me.
