Of course, we still have a lot of work with it. It’s just a little sneak peak just for unity community.

Please ask if you have any questions :slight_smile:

Could be interesting. Maybe list some game goals? and features? And since your so close to be on kickstarter maybe a short video of the alpha in action?

Of course. We still need some time to share video, but i can write something about game.

The game starts in the year 2015. The player takes the role of a university graduate, who wins a local business plan contest and starts a space company. In the beginning, the player can choose between satellite, rocket or suborbital technologies for R&D activities, from where he/she will have first profits. Later, the player will continuously develop various technologies, building better and less costly solutions, which could be used to win contracts from the National Space and Air Office (NSAAO)*, military or for the commercial sector.

The game is turn-based. Each turn represents one month. At the beginning of each turn, the player gets a summary of the most important current events, including random ones. Later, during each turn the player may visit various buildings (responsible for different sectors of the game), choose/stop/monitor technology development, plan future missions, start the construction of new buildings, hire and vacate staff, bid for contracts and put his own “products” on the market.

On the main game screen there will be the firm’s HQ and additional buildings, related to the company’s activities. Most of the buildings will be created during the game, during the development phase of various major and minor projects. An example is a medium-size launch pad, which would be developed during R&D activities related to the medium-size rocket.

As an important game element, the player will have to be aware of NSAAO / military, market offers and activity of competitors. An interaction with the NSAAO, military, competitors and understanding the market needs is planned to be an important part of this game.

Dig the concept LooZ.

While I realise its still alpha/pre-alpha I think the game needs a makeover. Is part of the kickstarter budget to hire a modeler?

Of course. It’s just some placeholders, we still need some time to get a nice screenshots video for KickStarter.

I LOVE your idea. I will definitely fund this idea once it is on kickstarter.

Love the concept!

Check this out:

Similar concept? Bit of bad timing.

Not exactly. We know about it from a couple of months, and we still want to be better than that :wink: I can mention some differences:

  • RTM starts in 2015, with current technology;

  • player in RTM leads private company (like SpaceX, Virgin Galactics);

  • In RTM you have full spectrum - you can build satellites or space hotel (if you have cash ;)), you can live from tourists or military contracts;

  • Features inspired by football managers :wink:

  • We have a big attention to qualitty of graphics, it should be “near to AAA” :wink: For example, Imgur: The magic of the Internet this concept it’s made by ex-Blizzard concept artist, whom worked on Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3. Of course, assets with this quality it’s pretty expensive, but it’s one of our goals.

  • Our team is quite experienced, but details we reveal in KickStarter campaign;

  • Our game should be more “mainstream” and avaible for players, than rather hardcore competition :wink:

Some screens from early stage of development.

Aaaand we have some prePress Release especially for Unity Forum.

Please ask, if you have any questions :slight_smile:

the screenshots look even better after reading “pre-alpha” part. Really digging the environments.

wow looks wicked

Reminds me so much of an old favorite, outpost (by Sierra '94). Watching this.

To be honest, everything except Administration Building will be trashed :wink:

Same page now :wink:

Let me play it ! It looks really good cant wait until release and I’ll be backing on kickstarter.

We are being asked a lot about the project itself and why aren’t we on Kickstarter yet. Race To Mars announcement was received warmly by all the fans of strategy games - this allowed us to consider alternative financing sources - dealing with these sources takes most of our time now.

Currently we are working hard on the prototype version fo Race To Mars and we hope to reveal some great news with you soon!
