Ragdoll reacts to shots

When a character dies they become a ragdoll and when this happens I want them to fall in a way that replicates where they were shot.

For example if they get shot in the head the head of the ragdoll head will jerk back and the body will follow it.

I presume it was to to with adding force to the rigged body but It seems to do nothing or it makes the head stretch far back and leave the rest of the body where it is.

Add interpolation on all rigidbodies in the ragdoll.
