I have unity plus subscription, its only me 1 programmer but I use a Mac, Parallels on the same Mac and a Mac book to program my games on. I’ve just tried to use Unity on my MacBook and it won’t let me use the plus version!! I need Unity on these 3 devices just for myself what can I do? Help!
You need to return the license every time you want to switch to another machine / os.
If you do not want to start your machine to return the license you can do int online inside your unity account page.
With the “old” unity perpetual license you had 2 activation but that changed as unity switched to to Substitution model.
I’ve just got an official response from unity that is basically tuff luck, you can’t do anything about it but buy an extra seat!! Unity this is so wrong. I use MacOS to develop for OSX and Windows, it uses 2 activations on the same machine to achieve this and gives no latitude to work on a laptop when you need to without deactivating seats and re assigning them.
Come on Unity be fair, create a way for a lone developer like me to be able to have 4 activations, allowing desktop and laptop development.
