Sometimes, Unity will just freeze.

Weirdly, the spinning beach ball is also running at a low frame rate.
I have no idea what to submit as a bug report.
I think I got a repro… in my 100GB+ project, when I bake occlusion culling using the Perfect Culling asset plugin. I don’t think I can upload this. But I would be happy to, if someone at Unity wants to take a look.
I’m on latest Unity 2021.2.16, M1 Max. Latest macOS 12.3.
The same operation does not freeze on Windows. My windows computer is weaker in every way (less ram, cpu cores, disk space, etc)
Any idea on what I can do to even debug these freezes?
The bug reporter doesn’t come up, nothing. The computer is still fully responsive. I just have to force quit unity. I’ve tried waiting hours, but it never resolves.
Having the same problem, can barely go 10 mins without having to do a hard shutdown. Been the same though 2021 and now 2022.
It tend to happen when I resize the viewport, especially after having exited play mode. I know there’s a bug report stating it is fixed - but throughout the year that I’ve had this machine (M1 Mini, 16), its never been the case. Ive been updating versions frequently.
Made a build last night, it completed and then proceeded to lock up - so its a general issue as well.
