Random lag spikes in the editor

First of all, complete noob at Unity (and game dev in general) so this question might be very fundamental and I might be missing something basic but I’ve tried searching a lot but couldn’t find the answer.

My Computer Specs:

  1. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
  2. GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3080
  3. RAM: 64GB 3000MHz CL16

As you can see, my computer’s specs are more than adequate but when I open up Unity and do something as simple as moving an object around, the editor freezes randomly for 500ms - 1s and then starts working again.

Are you moving a very complex or big object? Might affect it.
Maybe you need to set a higher priority for unity in task manager.
