Hello,
I have an idea where a person should be able to create a sphere or any shape and be able to have a script or an asset that can add high-leveled hills and valleys TO that shape along with altering its colliders according to the change of the shape. I already know somebody who created a sphere in Maya, added his own hills and valleys and tried to import it into Unity, but Unity said that the polygon count was too high. How can that be fixed? What if there could be a way to render and process certain segments of the terrain at a time or to be able to follow up on the idea that I have and then be able to determine weather or not the random generation of the shape can seeded according to the location of the shape so that whenever the player returns to the same spot, everything will all look the same?
If this can already be done, what software programs would I need and how would I do this?
Thank you,
Michael S. Lowe
