Reminds me of something I once wrote in a review of an Avalon Hill game called “Powers Perils” which was designed by the “great” Richard Snyder:
“How do you get to be a great game designer without designing any great games?”
Okay, I’ll bite.
I don’t know how you can say that Ultima Online, a decade old crazily successful mmorpg that is still being updated and played by thousands of people, isn’t great.
