Introduction:

This is my first Android game that I’ve been working on for a while now. Block crushing and breaking games are so simple and very famous. But I tried to add some improvements and changes to Rapid Blocks to make it more fun. The game is free to play without micro-transactions. I also created the game using my Block Crusher Kit.

Description:
It’s all about speed and breaking blocks! There are two modes in the game:

  • Arcade Mode: Your goal is to finish all the levels. In each level, there’s a goal to achieve which is amount of score points in a limited or non-limited time. The level difficulty depends on: the number of color (2,3,4,5,6), the game speed (the faster the harder it gets), the time limit if it exists (the shorter, the harder it gets).

  • Puzzle Mode: This is a free mode where there is no time limit. You can play as long as you can. Your goal here is to destroy as many blocks as you can. Over time, lines fill up and it keeps getting faster and faster. If your screen fills, you loose. There are special powers in this mode that will help you remove blocks faster. These special powers are randomly created. There’s also a bonus when you destroy a big amount of blocks once (6, 7,8 blocks).

  • Supported on Android phones and tablets (Worked hard on GUI to make it fit all different resolutions).
  • Two play modes: Arcade and Puzzle mode.
  • 15 exciting levels planned.
  • Addictive game play.
  • Special Powers: Use them to help you break the blocks.
  • Many achievements.
  • Leaderboards.
  • Stats: Saves your total score, total play time and total powers used and saves your highest score, longest time and used special powers in one game.
  • Google Play Game Service. (Currently working on this).

UPDATE:

I finished making 15 levels for the game. All of them have different number of colors, different speed and different time limit. Here’s a screen shot:

UPDATE:
Finished the achievements system. There are more than 26 achievements to play for!
I also improved, changed and fixed a lot of things.

Yeah it’s pretty fun and kind of addicting even though I’m not into games like this.

Thanks! I decided to start with something simple, fun and addictive and ended up creating this game.
