Rate system for car driving game.

I plan to make a game where players will teach how to drive safely at the mining site, it will be included passing other vehicles, stopping at a stop sign, or trying to avoid falling over the cliff. Do you guys have any idea that I can check if the car stops at a stop sign or not?

You can probably use invisible collision boxes for this, when a car intersects the box, expect them to have a velocity of 0 at some point before they leave. If they never had a velocity of 0, they didn’t stop.

It mostly depends on how exactly you intend to implement the driving system. But even if we abstract away the implementation details, you do it the same way a person would do it, in general, you identify the area where the stop sign applies, then identify if the vehicle has stopped in that area.

The area could be a bounding box overlapping the road in front of the sign.
A stop would mean that, while travelling through a designated area, the vehicle’s velocity has become 0 at some point.
