Recent search fields

Hi there. Would be nice to have recent search history for search fields in Hierarchy and Assets windows.
For Example:

Hi, yes that would be a good idea. Meanwhile have you tried to use Quick Search? You can save your favorite queries and you can cycle through recent searches using ALT+UP/DOWN.

I tried a quick search in unity 2021.1.1 and he has this nice feature BUT for my big project with many assets he updating assets search index so long and from time to time stuck in an infinity loop.

Would be super nice to have the feature from my first post to for all windows with search field.

Ok too bad. The infinite merge issue has been fixed and should be released soon. Meanwhile if you get the infinite merge issue, the workaround is to cancel the merge using the X button in the background tasks window and then going in the Window/Search/Index Manager and press Build on the index to start again (it should be much faster the subsequent times).

Thanks. I will try the workaround way and hope you add recent search fields too
