Why do some apps which use Unity request my permission for the Unity cookie to collect and use my data on a recurrent basis?
is it not enough for me to click the “Accept” button once?
It’s recurrent across several games I play and it’s becoming exceptionally tiresome.
And, would it be possible for the Unity cookie to be replaced with something on my devices which would require just a one-time acceptance, which any other Unity-based app would ‘see’ and never need to seek further permission?
What are these apps and permissions? Are we talking mobile, or web (cookie banner)?
This sounds more like an implementation issue (inform developers).
Or perhaps its required to periodically re-request permissions?
On the web I simply run ad and cookie blocker extensions to get rid of most of the annoyances.
“What are these apps” - games on my iPad and iPhone.
The permissions are sought in this pop-up. I won’t post all the other stuff which opens when one clicks “show my choices”, as I assume those here who know what I’m speaking about are fully aware of the permissions.
I suspect incorrect implementation / uncaring developers. Especially if this does not happen with every Unity app that’s using these services but only some.
