ref search on sprites in ui images returns too many hits with the wrong references

In Preferences → Search you can revert back the Search Engine for Hierarchy and Project:

We will revert back to the Legacy Search by default for beta 5.

Very cool. This option is new, is there a way to do that same in earlier version of Unity? For production.

By typing ref:".../armor2.psd" in the hierarchy window you are asking for every scene objects that have a (deep and nesting) reference to the armor2.psd asset. Is it possible that the shuttle asset has some (deep) nested reference to armor2.psd?

Would it be possible to share part of your project that repro this issue?

Not in this case as in: the hits don’t have that asset referenced or even a reference to an asset that references it.
QA has access to my repo on collab, I opened a ticket to facilitate communication between you and them, if you DM me I can add your email to the repo, maybe that’s even faster.
