Reflection probe not affecting geometry

I have a reflection probe in the scene which I would expect to affect my chrome ball. But it is not. What is wrong here?

EDIT: it seems that the box size was too LARGE…? very strange, but with 5x5x5 it works… with 100x100x100, it doesn’t…
A lot of things in Unity make little sense to me these days, some explanation would be appreciated :smile:

Only thing that comes to mind is maybe Reflection Probe are disabled in your HDRP Default Settings and/or Camera Custom Frame Settings ?

Or maybe you reached the Maximum Reflection Probe On Screen (defined in your current HDRP asset under lighting) ?

maybe dumb question but did you have baked the reflection probe?

It may not be affecting that sphere because of probe layer mask.
