Hi all.
Is it possible to have water reflection with GeForce4 Ti 4600??
Or shall I throw it out the window…?
I have tried it with the new 1.5.1 update…
(sigh)
Someone have an idea?

My video card:
GeForce4 Ti 4600, 128 MB
My CPU:
Machine Model: Power Mac G4
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (3.3)
Number Of CPUs: 2
CPU Speed: 1.25 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB
L3 Cache (per CPU): 2 MB
Memory: 1.25 GB
Bus Speed: 167 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.4.8f2
Well, all reflections are “dead”…!
I really lock forward to that beautiful water reflection…!!
And when I finally got PRO on my computer…
It says:
“Shader FX/WaterPlane (reflex&refraktive) no subshaders can run on this video card.”
The 1.5.1 update didn’t help problem…
When I hit play in “Samples” (the water example) in “Pro Standard Assets”
the “Real-time reflections” in “Sources” is working fine…
I can see it in the Inspector, but in the game view, its only dull blue…
Maybe I doing something wrong…? Or must I buy a new card?
Does anyone have GeForce4 Ti 4600 and use Unity PRO?
…and any kind of reflection?
/errormaker…
We do not have water reflection Refraction on a GeForce4. That being said, the shader SHOULD fall back to one that doesn’t do refractions.
“…the shader SHOULD fall back to one that doesn’t do refractions”
I think it do. Instead of water reflection, the water object is just blue…
So… It’s going to be some card investment…
He is saying that reflection And refraction won’t work on your card but reflection itself should.
I have just heard from David Helgason that it is not possible.
But maybe with a workaround…
So maybe the question shall still be here:
Do anyone who have PRO and nVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4600 got reflection?
It would be very interesting to here…
