II am new to unity I have baked my lightmaps through Vray render to texture. now on my furniture and on floor i want realtime reflections i am attaching a screenshot of a realtime scene that kind of result i want… Kindly help me…
Unity Specular shader.
No its not working as sceenshots. I need a shader which supports reflections and lightmaps from vray as well
@sniper
isnt it that in vray we use legacy lightmaps, then how come we can use specular shader ?
thats what my question is for hippo… specular shader do not support lightmaps…
pls help…
Specular shader would give 100% identical results to that picture and change depend on the light. If you can’t see why, then that isn’t my problem.
any other solution from anyone? Becoz i am not using lighting in unity. I m using baked lightmaps from vray
I am pretty sure the guy who made that screenshot you have he used the specular shader and then placed an omni light in unity so that the specular shader had something to pick up.
its not working 4 me
u need to generate a makeshift cube map, if your using the indie version of unity this can be rather difficult, the way i have it set is using 6 cameras pointing out from a cube at i think 60fov and 1.0aspect ratios one up one down one left right and forward and backwards, then use create a new cube map option in unity to stich um together, apply that to the objects texture using a specular reflection material and you get some decent reflections, to get it show only the white use a very light grey in yout alpha chanel of your texture, save as .tga and the specualr should show up like the image above. Takes some time to set up and perfect mate, pm me if your still having trouble.
