Refunded assets, do you get many?

I’d like to think I am offering some good assets at some great prices. I wanted to give users a deal on some race track that would give them a solid start on a racing project. I love indie developers so I uploaded some of our assets at a quoter the cost that we normally charge (87% off if you find it on turbo squid).

The other day I sold 2 tracks, and the next day they were returned. To me this seems someone scammed the system to get some free models. You would think that a sensible user would have just bought one of these tracks - to make sure it would work for there project before they went and picked up both. If someone truly has any issues with any of our assets and cant use it, that I can justify as a good reason to get a refund. But this just smells way to fishy.

I have sold assets on 3D stock model websites for over 8 years. And in that time, I have only had 1 return. This is my 2nd month here on the asset store, and if this trend is constant I might pull my assets.

70 sold unit here in the assetstore, and not a single return.

Thanks Kalamona. I’d like to think I have prepared the assets as best as I can with collision, materials, etc. Hopefully I can get a reason next week - I’ll share if I do. Thank you for your feedback.

I always render out movies of my work before I submit it to the Asset Store. This gives people a chance to give me feedback and see the assets before they buy them.

The assets could be amazing quality but might not be what the Unity userbase is looking for. Post some movies and ask for feedback.

No refunds on my assets. Not on the Assetstore or any other shop.

Same here. I’ve never had a refund.

I’ve been selling games, tools, and assets on the web for years, and “fishy” returns are just part of the cost of doing business. I wouldn’t sweat it.

not a single refund on my side at the asset store…

thats why i provide a demo , several images and videos of the features of my asset , to lower the chances of a refund
