I’m not sure if this is related to this specific bug but is the highlight bar of selected object (Project window) removed by design or is it a bug? I’ve noticed in b10 that there is no bar but the font and icon are still highlighted (same as on your screenshot).

Yes it is a regression in b10, the highlight works properly in b9
