Low contrast, no pull down menus edges, waste of vertical space (precious on 16:9 screens)
At first I thought it was due to a corrupted layout but this is also there in default layouts so I think this is “by design”.

I think the UI is in a transition, the title bar will likely be merged with the header at some point based on some UI designs formerly posted.

The design from a year ago? That was not a very good design and had tons of problems.
Normally I’d wait for it to converge but transition should never introduce such regressions, plus they work on retina screens which limits their perception, so I’m not confident in their ability to do the right thing.
