not to compare also but… if this was approved… Unity Asset Store - The Best Assets for Game Making and mine was not… what do i need to do then? O.o

well the quality is “ok” i dont see major default, now why they rejected it?
did you searched before doing this assets if the asset store was not overpopulated content of the same kind, for example fps weapon or fantasy models are over present.

I’t seems good to me. They don’t give you a reason for the rejection???

thanks Damien for responding… that is something i must look into account as well… i submitted it under characters humanoid and then fantasy…

@b4c5p4c3 … the only thing i received is this :

Hi there,

Thank you for your submission to the Unity Asset Store.

Unfortunately we don’t feel this submission is quite up to quality standards we hold on the Asset Store. As such, we have chosen not to publish this asset. However, we greatly appreciate the time and effort spent in preparing your submission.

Kind regards,
The Asset Store Team

so thats why im asking for some advise to what unto what needs to be improved on… i only would sell the asset for 5$… is it too much? do i need to have it sold at less price then… so confused right now… O.o

try more models of this style, more texture variation, constantly resubmit with your update, they will finish to accept it

Hi jaufox,
maybe because this awsome Monters’s Asset ( i bought it 2013) :

That reads as a standard response. Did you check the documents on unity for asset creation etc and follow what is suggested? I wouldn’t normally ask this but I do know some asset store sellers that did not read up on how models should be prepared and as a consequence did not get accepted immediately. Unity tend not to give detailed reasons for refusal as possibly the grounds for refusal were because the guidelines were not followed.

Unless your model is a copy of another model i don’t see why it’s rejected. Try to contact support, maybe they can give you the real reason.

nope the model is genuinely conceptualize and modelled by myself… modelled in maya and all textures were hand painted using mudbox and photoshop… animations were made through motionbuilder… @sicga123_1 i did not… i may need to look into that then… thank you… @sefou i really did not get what you meant but if you mean that maybe thats the basis of the quality of the asset, i believe to “each their own” to artists and thats why i priced the asset as 5$ since its a cartoon type asset with a hand painted diffuse map… thank you for all your suggestions i will definitely improve on it and research on further… any more suggestions are definitely welcome… would love to hear any comments as well from unity itself…

Don’t get hung up on price. They’re looking for unique, high-quality assets, not assets that compete only on price. High quality doesn’t necessarily mean high detail. There’s also demand for low-poly mobile-optimized assets. Perhaps 3231 polys is too high for mobile yet not detailed enough for desktop? Or maybe it’s too similar to existing orc models?
