In order to find some funding for my own game, Setting Sun, I started converting some features to packages for the asset store.
One of those features is what I like to call Dynamic Weather.
This means that when it starts raining I don’t just want a rain particle, but I also want everything to have a wet appearance. So I made exactly that.
Features:
- Smooth transition from dry to wet and back
- Works on meshes with standard shaders and unity terrain
- Easy to integrate, just drag and drop the scripts on all objects you want wet
- Placeable rain puddles which appear and disappear to your liking
- Adjustable variables like: time till wet/dry, amount of wetness, …
- Additional rain details for roofs or whatever you like.
