* Complete Illustrator - Unity - Spine workflow. * Works on both OSX and WINDOWS Unity Editor platforms * Saves you hassle with organazing and exporting all your graphics assets.
@Foriero , the asset is fantastic and works great.
Some suggestions:
1>Ability to import only part of the scene. For example, instead of creating whole scene in illustrator, someone might want to create only some part of a design in illustrator, import it and add to their scene. This gives certain flexibility.
2>Simplifying the work flow. The tool is good as is, but for breezy process, it would be great if it can automatically recognize ai file resolution. Then, using multiplier, we can import at a scale we need.
Don’t mean to necro this thread but I just watched a video on how the tool works so I thought I’d add my 2 cents. I think they already solved “The ability to import only part of a scene” in Illustrator. I believe all you have to do is put a # in front of your AI layer name to have it imported into Unity. So not prefixing your layer with a # means the tool leaves it out.
Hello, I have buy this asset, downloaded and import it in a new Unity2D v5 project, i have installed the 3 things in the installation folder but I don’t have “Illustrator” in the “windows” selection.
Can you please help me ?
Edit : got help by the dev’, he will update soon the asset with a new version.
Hi, sorry for long delay. The tool has developed a lot and we will soon update asset store.
It is now reorderable. Can export SVG, PNG, or AI parts. There are new templates for generating artboards and much more. See the picture. Really for anyone who is creating 2D games and using illustrator and spine this tool is simply a must.
Last thing we need to solve are compression templates so that users don’t have to set compression for every generated ai file. Given we have so many platforms it is a bit nightmare to set all the compressions correctly.
