Hello!
A while back when I started getting into game development, I was working on a 2D adventure game. For different reasons (engine switch being one of them) I never ended up finishing the game. I therefore decided that I would release all the tiles I had made as an asset. This required a bit of work since there were tiles missing and some needed a bit of a facelift. Now, however, I’m pretty much finished overhauling them and will be sending the package to the asset store soon.
The package contains 7 “natural” tile sets, each with 31 tiles. The tiles vary in size from 128x128 to 32x32. The natural tile sets include various shapes ranging from straight pieces, curves, slopes etc. The package also contains 4 “tech” tile sets of metal and stone, generally flat shapes and corner shapes. These sets contain 20 tiles each.
Each tile sets has a transition piece to be able to blend between any of the tile sets and maximize variation.
Also included will be some 2D vegetation sprites and rocks, to add more variation to scenes.
In total the package currently contains 646 tiles. An example of the tiles included and tile transitions:
Indeed! Will add bigger mounds of snow as a separate object that can be added on top. But that’s for when I start adding in even more random decorative items.
Added the slanted pieces (ceiling and walls). Should be able to have the new set finished tomorrow. Also tested it with some of the dry grass and found that it works quite well.
