This asset allows UI components (Images, Text etc) to be rendered with motion blur when they animate. This is done without using the post-processing stack and only requires a single component added to the UI GameObject.
Having motion blur on animated UI elements can make the motion smoother and elevate the visual quality to a professional level.
Currently the motion blur is based on the object motion. We’re about to add support for camera motion too. This means you can use World Space with a moving camera and have motion blurred UI or Text! We hope to have this new feature, as well as a few more improvements in the next few days.
If you’re thinking about purchasing this asset, you may want to check out the “UIFX Bundle” package which includes all UIFX assets at a discounted rate. Currently it include the two released assets: “Motion Blur” and “Trail Effect”, but we have others in the works that we’ll be adding to this bundle. We will post a link once it’s live.

Hi,
Just a comment.
Motion blur is certainly so useful in video work. Games or showcasing.
Just seems a little too expensive…especially in Australian dollars.
Your asset looks great and your demos show the outcomes well.
I know that these assets take valuable time to develop and you certainly have done well…but maybe waiting for (another) Unity sale might be the path for me…unless “her indoors” capitulates!
Thanks for your thoughts and words of encourangement @vertexx ! We really appriate it!
UIFX - Motion Blur is a new asset so we’re still working to find the best price point, so it’s very useful to hear peoples thoughts. This asset was actually on an introducory 50% sale a couple of weeks ago, which we think was a great deal, and I’m sure it will be in some sales again in the future.
Yes this asset took a lot of time to create - we’re doing some nifty tricks to be able to achieve this effect, and figuring all this out, optimising it, figuring out how to make it work with Text Mesh Pro, packaging it up so it’s easy to use and creating all the documentation, our professional commitment to support and upgrades etc… so we do think it’s worth the price, considering the time it would save someone who wants this feature and doesn’t want to build it from scratch - but we will consider reducing the price in the future to find the right balance.
