Why not follow a similar methodology as that used by Space for Unity? That is, make a new project for only the Universal Sound FX library which you can use to preview and find the sounds you want to use in your project. Them export only the sounds you want for use in your project, saving storage space and time.
I bought the zipfile from his site for that very purpose
I also wanted to make sure he got 100% profits from his package, since it really is a very good deal and Iād like to see the collection expand.
Also bought it on his site, I like to keep my project clean and only use the sounds that I want, also 100% profit to the author
Just bought your asset and itās great!
Got two requests:
- Could we get more electric style force fields, maybe cartoonish?
- More power ups would also be great!
Fantastic package. The kinds of effects I would like would be more magical spell effects and monster / creature sounds.
Thanks everyone!
Keep the requests coming, Iām working off the list in the second post of this thread. Currently working on a lot of powerups/powerdowns, chargeups/chargedowns.
I think some hurt, tired, effort, death and generic player noises would be nice. Would be very useful for providing feedback when a player/npc performs actions.
Some ideas:
-Hurt
-Die
-Scared (for horror games and the like, akin to Amnesia)
-Effort noises (running, pushing/pulling, swinging heavy things like swords or clubs)
Also definitely wouldnāt mind more bass heavy/meaty gun sounds!
Hi! I have bought the in-site zip version of the sound library, does this apply also for the updates through this channel??
Hi,
Just bought the pack, great value for money, it would be great if you added a helicopter flyover effect to it (like this one: Helicopter Flyover, Sound | AudioJungle) and currently the helicopter heavy rotor loop has very heavy āclicksā in it and sounds a bit unclear, so another helicopter rotor loop would be great.
Could you add more grunts/arghs and other sounds men and women do when in minor/medium/major pain? Also more extensively of the āplease stop itā/āstopā stuff. Perhaps more girly/boyish sounds if that would be possible.
High quality assets from this guy, would recommend.
Regards
Edit: my post just seem so wrong without the contextā¦
Hi,
just some requests
- Acid sounds (Splat/Burning/ kind of weapon fire)
- Bullettime sound effects ( example @1:35 when Trinity jumps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u31OjOPF-ZI and secondary effect when she kicks the chair)
- less bored sounding female voice
Regards
Thanks - will aim to get more variations for all of those! Thanks for suggesting. Adding it to my list.
Yes, Iāll probably keep the two asset in line with eachother.
I managed to record a police helicopter as it was hovering over our area in the night and it stayed pretty long searching for something so I got a fair amount of source material. As it slowly passed over my head it felt like it went even slower past me and I bet their infrared camera zoomed in on me wondering what a weirdo was aiming a 60cm long pistol grip microphone at their helicopter. Iāve finished 6 flyby helicopter sounds and 8 seamless helicopter loops to add in the next update.
Sure, Iāll add more variations. I plan to get quite a few additional voices once I finish building a recording room in my garage.
Thanks for the suggestions. How do you want the bullet-time effect, as separate slow down - looping bullet time - and wind up effects? I just played around with it and Iāll be able to add similar sounds.
Please let me know a bit more how you imagine the acid sounds.
Many more voices will be recorded but they wonāt fit in USFX due to size limitations so look out for separate voice packs later on. Grunts and hurt sounds will probably always be part of USFX though.
Keep the suggestions coming and thanks for buying and supporting the asset!
Iād like to have a small suite of over-the-top impact sounds that are not related to materials.
Basically, letās imagine some god, demon, or super being is hitting things. The objects that are actually clashing against each other might be of a variety of materials - wood, flesh, metal, stone - but the identity of the materials is unimportant information. In this instance, no listener cares. Whatās important is the variety of strike sounds that show how powerful the strikes are. So the sounds are abstract notions of WHAM, KRAK, BAM, KRUNCH, BOOM, KA-RACK, etc. And these would be essentially short sounds, like a simple punch, kick, handclap / slap, slash ā¦ but made epic.
I donāt know what audio factors would go into making these, but Iād guess distortions and echoes and deepening of pitch might be ways of adding a sense of mass, velocity, and shockwaves. Like ā¦ you could record hitting a desk top with your hand and also with a heavy book, add distortions and echoes to the sounds, then merge them ā¦ and that might make a rich but unidentifiable strike sound. Maybe record slapping water and add echo to turn it into a āsuper slapā or āsuper jabā sound. Then strike the water with an empty plastic jug to get a WHOMP sound, and drop the pitch on it. Take a paper bag and whip it through the air to get a nice KRAK sound that could be modified. Go to a dumpster and slam the lid. And so on. The main thing is to get an epic impact sound that is distinct, but where you cannot identify the items or materials involved.
Great Pack! I also bought from the site.
Thanks!
Hi there!
I really like your package. Itās cool to have one big library to choose from.
As a request, Iād like to recommend wooden/metal treasure chest open and close sounds.
Bye!
One type of sound effect Iād like to see is looping sci-fi engines, like for space ships and hover vehicles.
Iāve attempted a few myself, with varying degrees of success. The closest to a usable one Iāve come up with so far involved mixing a bunch of sounds together, including a vacuum cleaner, a dryer from an automatic carwash, a messed up DVD player, and some electronic sounds. Itās not bad, but when changing the pitch it sort of sounds like, well, a vacuum cleaner.
Just bought this from the website, and it is awesome ^^ Also hereās some requests
-Zombie sounds, iām thinking something like in The Walking Dead the tv show ^^
-More footsteps like walking on metal surface, wood, gravel, and grass
-Forest ambience with singing birds.
First update of Universal Sound FX is approaching and the following sounds are ready to be added:
- Charge up/downs + sci-fi loops (36 sounds)
- Elevator loop (1 sound)
- Engine loops (2 sounds)
- Helicopter Flyby (3 sounds)
- Helicopter Loops (7 sounds)
- Generic Impacts (17 sounds)
- Machine loop (1 sound)
- Magic Spells (50 sounds)
- Space charge up warps and jumps (45 sounds)
- Time Warp / Bullet Time Stop / Star (12 sounds)
- Tools (5 sounds)
ā¦hopefully these can be added without hitting any form of size restriction for assets.
The price will go up to $20 with this update so hurry up if you havenāt got it yet
Thanks for update and warning of price increase (which I believe is fully justified). Has pushed this from my wish list in to buy.
The limit for assets I believe is 2Gb and was changed a few months ago. Protofactor an asset store seller has an asset with 2Gb download.
Awesome! Thanks for the fast update, lucky that police chopper was around
Also, like Sampa has suggested, more footstep sounds would be great! The current footsteps sound great, and if you had footsteps to cover all surfaces I think that would really add a lot of value to the pack!
