Slin relief shader for 2.6 was nice too.
these one(policarpo by Applemotion) is complex to produce the maps,i think, and dont have shadows,i think.
the Reissgrant one ,on the same post is very interesting also.
these stuff is really important to increase visual, artistic expression with unity.
i care about it.do you?
I tested the free shader and unfortunately they are not even remotely comparable to Polycarp shader map.
They are discrete shader, but I think that they are not up to my expectations.
I’m disappointed, because the shader of unity are equal to other 3d engine (Shiva, Torque, etc. …).
One sheder advanced as Polycarp in Unity would be greatly appreciated by the buyers, and would enable Unity to obtain a large share of the market for the development of videogames.
For me, I think that the choice of 3D engine depends on the shader map.
I’m looking for a shader map (depth) as that of Fabio Policarpo but with shadows and lights which react in the scene.
You only think about one thing. If it worked with the shader depth, 3D models are much lighter (smaller number of polygons in the model) because the shader that generates the relief map and the 3D model, they also have a very high level graph with considerable advantages in size file a fluidity of play. In fact, as you know the 3D objects are more complex (high number of polygons) more processing problems of the CPU and graphics card you have.
I’m looking through the 3D engine that can offer relief depth with shadows and lights.
I found Esenthel Engine that supports the depth with shadows and highlights.
Someone knows esenthel engine?
cryengine2 or 3 supports the depth?
