Reloading scene when using baked mesh particles results in broken particle material

Hello we have tried using the new option of baking particles to mesh and it works like a charm. However if the scene is reloaded the particles show up with a broken material on them but are still simulated and rendered. Anyone else have had this happen? We have not been able to recreate it in a test project to send in a bug report even though we have exported our particle system to the new project and reloaded the scene in a similar way.

I haven’t been able to repro exactly. Oddly enough occasionally I can get a frame or two after loading a scene where there’s a pink material on particle systems. I’ll target fixing that, which will hopefully address your issue. If there’s a repro project you can create in the meantime please do submit a bug report. Thanks!
