Removing Input tab from configuration dialog

Hi,

Is there any way to remove the Input tab from configuration dialog?

I have nothing in input manager and showing empty tab would just confuse users.

I already know it’s possible to disable the whole configuration dialog, so don’t bother with that “solution”.

Welcome to the forums!

There is no way to separately turn on/off the graphics/input tabs individually AFAIK. You either show the configuration dialog (graphics and input tabs) or you don’t.

Does somebody smell a feature request?

Only people with smelly feets, all others prefer consistency and have the configuration through an ingame option menu anyway

Actually, I’d vote for that feature request. The input manager doesn’t have a number of functions that can be quite necessary, so I end up making my own. Better yet, a few improvements to the input manager:

  1. Hiding certain axes in the config dialogue. Sometimes you want the button available, but don’t want the player monkeying with it.

  2. Letting the player change controls in the middle of the game. Currently, the player has to quit the game and start it again to change any control settings.

  3. The ability to change sensitivity settings (within limits) say, for the mouse. The only way to do this right now is with a custom dialog anyway.

Yes, I know, this goes in the Wish List section, but it would still be good to hide it in the config window if it doesn’t do what you need.

I realize that this is an old thread, but I just wanted to pop in and politely ask “WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY?”
As my game supports two players, the GetAxis command did not suit me (for other reasons too; please don’t attempt to debate this, they don’t suit me and the game works fine as it is).

The resolution settings though are perfect, awesome and divine and save me from a lot of work and testing.
Why can’t you just have an “Input tab” tickbox I can untick?

Pretty please with sugar on top?
I have just completed my first unity game, minus an obsolete input tab I can’t get rid of.

Going to sleep now, I am sure I will dream about a gigantic tickbox…

There is an answer in http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/141438-Remove-Input-section-from-launcher?p=991442#post991442
