It seems I am unable to rename any asset/directory with F2 (also no context menu options to rename either)in the editor like in Windows. I don’t know if this is a known issue or not, sorry if duplicate.

Hey, which version are you using? This should already be fixed in the 5.5b2 build.
I was using 5.4p1, but now I saw there is an update 5.4f1 and I see it is fixed there, so I am downloading it. I don’t use beta’s in general
