Render a halo on top of everything else?

I'm drawing the laser using a LineRenderer which, since it draws a rectangle, has a pretty unsightly sharp edge at the beginning and end. I put a halo in my hit particle to obscure the end of the laser where it hits its target, but depending on where the laser hits, the halo is sometimes partly behind the gameobject and looks a little odd.

Is there a way to make something (in this case my halo), render on top of other objects in the scene?

Halo by default has a 0 sorting order, so just make other sprites have less :slight_smile:
