Render paths and representing colors meaning?

What do the colors represented by the Render Paths option in scene view mean?

There is a big difference in the way they are handled by light, but I’m not sure how to change the path chosen to render them, currently it looks like crap due to some lights in the area and I need to adjust it but the only difference I see from the other objects is the color from the Render Path setting in Scene View.

Anyone?

Its the material type, not sure on what it does but changing it off the Nature class of material to a transparent cutout type changed the way it got light.

I guess the nature materials just get an average light value and put it on the whole model for performance outside.
