Before I make the big purchase of an IOS Pro license I was wondering if anyone could verify that Unity’s RenderTexture can render to the alpha channel on IOS.
Also, I assume RenderTexture does not work on Iphone 3G. Is that right?

iPhone uses RGB565 RenderTexture mode, which doesn’t have an alpha channel. Took me a while to figure this one out.
If you want alpha on iPhone you have to enable 32-bit color buffer.
