renderer clipping issue

so ive been working on a project with my team, but i have this fairly annoying problem
the renderers of 2 or more object sometimes clip on a short distrance in-game, to say that the 2 objects are with a 0.1 diffrence between positions
if anyone could help fixing this i would love that

PS my english is still legging :wink:

Short Answer: Increase the camera’s near clip plane…

Because the camera is too near to those objects causing them clipping and disappearing from the camera view.

You may try to store the camera position in a variable first. Then set the camera’s position far away from all the objects in the scene, this will help rendering all the objects without clipping. After that, set the camera back to the actual position that you stored in a variable just now.

Hope this helps. =)

@Bluewall:

Moving the camera further away will not fix this. He’s not clipping into the near plane but rather running out of depth-buffer precision.

You can also decrease far-clip as well to fix this but for this scene it looks more sensible to move near clip further out. Follow the long answer Shawn gave for an explanation.

For this scene it’s probably better to not have the overlapping polygons at all to save on render time.
