Replacement Kids is an action adventure title now in the works. It’s being produced under the business name Chosen One Games, which consists of only two folks. Nick McKinnis works on business talk, music collaboration, story and dialog. While I (Jason Jones, not from Bungie :lol:) take care of the programming, art work, and music collaboration as well.
This is a game that will be based in a very mystical/steampunk style world. A little bit of a 50’s vibe with character design as well. If you want a better analogy for my thoughts going into this game, just think as if Mega Man, and Zelda: A Link To The Past made love, and then had a baby.
The main characters below, were designed as robots by a scientist. In a world where children are being replaced with a NEW BREED of kids, to rip out all the emotion of the world. This scientist created both WILL and OLIVIA, to be the first of there kind. Robots with emotions. Your objective? Take down the corporation of your creation and return balance to everyone’s life. This is a story driven game, that will be playable up to two people, locally, or through a connection. Coming to PC/Mac/Linux sometime in 2015.

Right now I am hard at work on environments. As soon as I have something I love (and that is where I want it to be completion wise), I will start revealing more on gameplay. Questions are always welcome. I’ll leave with a little more basic concept art for Olivia as well.

And in the end you choose whether to restore humanisation or to let robot and human live in harmony?
When you choose to restore humanisation, you will destroy yourself but your little human friend will live in happiness for the rest of the centuries, but not long since the loop of creating robots will come again. 
Is that kind of story the game will be?
The character looks nice, clean and very cute.
Oh, for environment… Looking at your character… Something look like “Bob the builder” is my expectation. It would be fun and cute.
hahah, well I wouldn’t say its as generic as the typical zelda, “Ressurect Evil, fight him again when another game comes out” loop. lol We made sure we were doing something real unique with this story. I don’t really want to reveal too many details just yet, but each of the main characters has an integral part on how they were created, what they can do in the world, and why they are so special. We spend a lot of time working on this part, and closing the loops with all sections of the game. Has to tell the story of the world to a T! Never know what will happen in the future, so we prepare as much as we can now. Balance from gameplay to story is very important here. What you were given in the original post, is all I can reveal for now without kicking myself in the ass if things change in some retrospect.
Even though I haven’t said much yet, you’ll have a clearer view in the near future. We expect a gameplay trailer ready within the next couple months. More screenshots, in depth blogs on development, and some more world oriented media will be revealed before that.

New Update 2/5/2014:
Right now I am working on the brand new website, plenty of news to come. It will become much more than a blog though!
Also I have been working on the concepts for the mines area. Below are a few of images.

A few different color tests on wall and ground tiling.
We have on off ground buttons, chrystal energy activators, and different rocks. Generic, and special powered ones.

A zipline glider, a pull rope, hand shovel, treasure chest, and a lightbulb lantern.
This morning I was working on translating over some drawings into photoshop. These are more enemy, fight, and character based.
