replacing a mesh

Hi there guys

I made a block in unity to test my space ship. Now it is working perfectly and I want to (permanently)replace the mesh of the block with my own mesh from 3ds max. What is the correct procedure without stuffing everything up?

In the block’s mesh filter component, you can click on the Mesh property to change it in the inspector. You can substitute any of the other meshes you have among the assets.
