Resource ID out of range in SetResource :x (max is 1048575)

Hi, so I use Pixyz for importing large files. Today I got a 200mb .NWD file and after importing for several hours I get 320 000 error saying:
‘Resource ID out of range in SetResource :x (max is 1048575)’. where x is a number larger then the max.

Is there a fix for this? I just imported it so I haven’t run any code on it.

Hello @DriesVrBase and @WorldBuilderMaster !

Sorry for the issue you are encountering.
It will be difficult for Pxyz team to debug that without having access to a (dummy) file that reproduces it.
Could you please create a Support ticket here, explain your issue again, and attach a reproduction file?

Thanks!

I am encountering this issue as well. I noticed some textures would not show properties when I clicked on them and others would. This is in Unity 2022.3.39f1. I ended up deleting my library and letting it rebuild which took all day yesterday and completed sometime in the night. I can say that the textures that were not showing properties before this are now working. However, the screen greeted me with a number of errors. It seems like I may have hit some arbitrary resource limit.

Resource ID out of range in SetResource: 1048576 (max is 1048575)
Resource ID out of range in SetResource: 1048577 (max is 1048575)
Resource ID out of range in SetResource: 1048578 (max is 1048575)

Resource ID out of range in SetResource: 1048620 (max is 1048575)

Now I have no way of knowing what things may have failed with this import as the error message does not supply any additional information such as maybe a filename, asset name, etc.

As to supplying a dummy file to reproduce with that would be well beyond 100GB in size and it took me all day and into the night to produce the error.

Hello everyone. A new release of Pixyz will be available in July 2024 (Pixyz 2024.2). We’ve been working on the NWD fiel format support, hopefully bringing significant improvements! Stay tuned and thank you for your valuable feedbacks

That’s good news! is there a E.T.A for this?

I also get similar errors from time to time, but I have no idea what causes them.

A new version of Pixyz Plugin is expected mid Febuary. It will embed all the improvement made on the Pixyz SDK.
If you still encounter some issue. I encourage you to try to isolate the part causing the issue in a dummy file. And to share it with us so we can investigate and debug it.
