Retina in Standalone Builds on OSX

This has been discussed over and over, and there is also a request with about 500 votes since October 2015 here https://feedback.unity3d.com/suggestions/retina-for-os-x-standalone-builds

My only question is, is this ever going to happen?

Thanks.

Currently the feedback thread is on page 3 of most voted. If we could push it to page 2 or even 1 it would be extremely helpful in my opinion. I’ve already given it all my 10 votes, I hope others do the same.

It is a bit of an embarrassment, for sure. I hope Unity will do something about it soon.

Gave it my remaining 8 votes.

I have dumped the headers at Unity.Labs.OSX_Unity_Player_Headers, where you can somewhat inspect the OSX player. Teamed up with this article Override app delegate in Unity for iOS and OSX (4/4) Inject code to Mach-O binary, there may be a solution worked around for this, until Unity opens up the OSX player Xcode project.

Wow, historical!

It’ll be nice to get those votes back.

Well, now you can! It has just been announced that retina is coming in 2017.2! We did it!!
