I’ve been over the weekend in Copenhagen to meet with my friends Thomas Lund and Magnus Blikstad to plan a new Unity game we want to make together and I couldn’t resist on sunday when I left Copenhagen (CPH) to drive by in the street Esromgade 15, where the Unity Technologies headquarter is located. Funnily I didn’t find any company plate in the archway (left side behind the iron bars) so I really wondered if I noted the correct address.
(my blue Ford car in front of the archway)
But then I took a look at the doorbell name plates and hey, I found at least the name on one doorbell plate!
(Unity Technologies doorbell plate)
So, at least from outside the HQ is well hidden! Makes one starting thinking weird thoughts like:
Is Unity maybe only a shadow company and in truth the danish HQ for the CIA? Isn’t it reeeeally strange that there is next to non hint outside pointing to Unity except one little doorbell plate? Maybe it’s the european outpost of GarageGames that secretly bought Unity Technologies and wants to hide it to the public? Who knows… at least strange that there was nothing to see outside…
Well, I’m planning to go back to Copenhagen maybe in april or may at latest and I will continue then to trying to unveil the big secret behind this shadow company. I’ll keep you updated with new photos and the ultimate truth behind this mystery.
Hehe, yeah, possibly this building is only the entrance to a huge secret underground labyrinth, 30 meters under the earth where all the secret technology is beeing developed…
I’m surely investigating in more detail during my next visit in CPH and try to get in masqueraded as postman, milkman or something… “inconspicuous”… I’ll try to make then some super secret photos of the mysterious things happening inside that… “building”…
Hey! Do you really mean that you were all the way this close to our doorbell and you didn’t even try pressing it?
Edit: Ah the gate was closed, so I guess you were there during the weekend. (And we do have a sign - it’s one of the smaller ones on the right in the archway.)
Hehe, yes, it was sunday so I didn’t even try to ring the doorbell. If I’m there next time during usual working hours, I’ll surely try to ring and say hello.
On the right? Doh! I didn’t even look on the right side of the archway! Haha
Hmmm…“Mothership” is too grand a term for UHQ;
“Boiler Room” is a component and not a vessel;
“Doc Brown’s Lab”?
“International Exports”?
“The Funk Factory”?
“Office Supply Products”?
“Secret Island Base”? (Copenhagen’s almost surrounded by water, isn’t it? )
“Undisclosed Location”?
