Rig Scaling Import Issue

I’m having a problem importing a rigged model into Unity. The model does not scale correctly, as you can see here:

The fbx file contains a rigged character and a prop model (leather cup). Comparing the character with the prop, the character is scaled much smaller than it should be when imported into Unity.

When inspecting the rig in Maya, the attribute editor shows an xyz scale of 1.0 for all joints. I’m not sure what’s causing the issue. How can this problem be solved?

Problem solved after freezing transformations on root node in Maya.
