Rigging problem with plane

I have a plane rigged up in Maya and i've used just basic parenting to nurb and surfaces controls and that sort of thing to set the plane up to be animated, the plane has simple animation such as rudder and flap rotations when the plane turns right, left etc etc... I've imported the MA. file into unity and the flaps go wonky by just rotating round in a continuous cycle non stop. I thought maybe I should parent the plane to bone joints instead but that didn't work either...can anyone help me?

Try using an .fbx file instead. Make sure you check "Bake Animations". Also, sometimes .ma files act up. Try a .mb file instead. Hope this helps!

Look for your animation file in Unity and set wrap mode to "once".
