Right foot transform in Animation Curves not working

Hello everyone. I’m modifying an animation via the Animation window and I’m modifying the Curves. I’m trying to move my avatar’s right foot (Convai avatar) using the Right Foot Transform (Y component) but it doesn’t do anything in the animation.

Could anyone please tell me what I’m doing wrong or if there’s an easier way of achieving this? Thanks for your time!

Bump. Anyone knows or could please give me a lead? I’m pulling my hairs out lol

Moving the foot bone’s position is not what you want since that will just squash the lower leg. It doesn’t use IK to rotate the bones up the chain to get the foot in the position you want. I would suggest using IK to get the foot in the right position.

A big reason you would want to use IK over animation adjustments is this sitting animation can be applied to any humanoid character, but different characters will have different limb proportions, so what gets the feet right on one character won’t work for someone with shorter or longer legs.

If you really want to adjust the animation and not use IK then adjust Animator muscle space curves for the lower legs instead of the feet. The left foot’s end position is dependent on the rotation of the left upper and lower legs.

Thank you!! I started using IK and the Two Bone IK Constraint really helped a lot. I followed this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECcN0sZMhTY&ab_channel=CGSmoothie
