Roadmap for Unity iPhone

Hi All

Is there a place where I can see a roadmap for Unity iPhone in terms of what new functionality is coming (e.g. support for Retina display, gyroscope, game centre, etc) and when?

Cheers
Matt

It would be great if there was an official roadmap, I don’t think there is one.

I do know that, in Unity 3.0, the iPhone 4 resolution (the retention display) is supported. I’m not aware of gyroscope and Game Center support, but those things could be taken advantage of by using native iPhone calls.

There is no public roadmap which you can access for Unity Engines.
So far there was a single exception last year when they shared their plans.

iPhone 4 and its resolution are present already with the current beta.

Game Center with Apples stance (4.1 removes game center support for pre-3GS devices again!) is at least for the time being a death birth and I wouldn’t consider to put it in, especially not over OpenFeint.

Any other feature will happen when they will. Quite some features were postphoned due to Apples ToS fiasco (ToS 3.3.1), like the GameKit and 2D System.
I would expect the gyro among other things to happen with 3.1 in spring to summer 2011.

Until then you can though integrate it yourself.
With unity 3, the plugin capability on the iphone side is available in both licenses, not only pro
