Rolang

We at Psycho Hamster Games have been working the past year to get this far with Rolang. We have just entered it into the Steam Greenlight Concept section. We are wanting the input from all, and if you wish you can follow our progress on Steam as well as Google+, and Facebook

Rolang, an ancient Tibetan ritual, consisted of a shaman alone with a corpse in a room, with the ability to bring the corpse back from the dead they were tasked with biting the tongue off the corpse, for the tongue had powerful properties. Several hundred years later a young shaman tried to practice this ritual and failed. The world is now encased with the undead of Rolang.

No intro video, no long boring story lines. Rolang goes against conventional video games by allowing the player to not have to worry about a story line. Rolang is an arcade-style multiplayer first person shooter video game mixed with RPG elements. Starting off with nothing but the objects around you, you must go on a mission in search of resources and a way to survive. Rolang will pit the player in a world where most anything can be used as a weapon in the fight against the undead and the opposite team.

Online game modes:

  • Team Deathmatch - Two teams against each other, with zombies against everyone.
  • Free-for-All - Everyone against everyone, plus zombies against everyone. Yeah… we didn’t think you would live long either.
  • Capture the Meat - Similar to the classic Capture the Flag, but with a twist.
  • Savior Mode - Be the team that brings back the most food and medical supplies to your base with as few deaths on your team as possible. Just don’t forget to build your base defenses, or they might overrun the base.
  • Meat Grinder - If you can hold on to the piece of meat longer than everyone else, you win. As long as you can survive the mass waves of zombies trying to eat you.

Unique gameplay elements:

  • Any object can be used as a melee weapon. Happen to run out of ammo? Just drop your gun and grab the nearest brick laying on the ground. Then smash zombies.
  • Global stats. Starting off with nothing, you will slowly build up your arsenal of weapons and gear.
  • Zombies with smell and just a little bit of intellect. Happen to be bleeding or wounded? I hope not, because you’re going to be eaten first. If your friend is wounded, just grab and rip off a limb from a nearby dead zombie and draw attention to yourself. Your friend will thank you.
  • Scenario Creator. Create your own zombie scenarios, edit the level layout, place zombies, and then play with your friends online.
  • Customizable vehicles. Grab a truck and have your friend man the mounted machine gun. Or just throw some spikes on it and go killin’.

I like this.
But i think a game like this deserves a story-line. It would be good for most gamers to know how you got there and what the story behind the map is.

Interesting, I think your saying that each level should have a small mini story of why your there and how?

Yeah, something plausible would be nice.
The screenshots look great man, adding a few more street props would bring more life to the environment.
