Wow, after 11 years… I forgot that this was even something that could possibly be done in Unity. One of those “Oh, they haven’t implemented it, oh well.” unicorns.
Cool, maybe in another 11 years we’ll have a back button then. Yahoooo

This is amazing… I mean it’s something I’ve still tried to systematically do all these years just to find it’s still not there 
This will speed up all asset / material duplications a lot.
FWIW Ctrl+D to duplicate assets has existed since forever.
