Rotating a game object in Y-axis

In my game I want to rotate an object relative to where it sits. I have a table with four chairs, asymmetrically placed.

I converted the degrees to radians in order to get the desired output (at least in theory), as well as make the character’s Y rotation the same as the chair’s Y so it matches where it is sitting. But the result is that the character is always facing one direction when it sits.

Can someone help me understand what I am doing wrong? Many thanks in advance.

this is not enough info to answer. we need to know specifically what youve done with unity so far. these types of simple questions are answered quicky here. if this is a problem with code you are writing we need to see that. if you havent started coding and just starting someone can give you links to good reading.
