Rotating transforms object

Everytime I try and rotate and object it stretches it? so if i have a cube, as i rotate it, it’s z flattens but its x expands. I just want to rotate the objects position, not literally rotate the internal geometry of the object. This didnt happen before and i’m very confused.78592-screenshot-71.png

I’ve had similar problems before, if the object is a child of another, try unparenting it if that is possible. I do not know why unity does this, but this is the fix I know of
