RPG-Game Test (FTP)

Hi, I’m currently working on a RPG-Game, it’s mostly a test for me since I’m trying to learn scripting!
I would have put a link to my game here if I got a link but I don’t and that’s what I would like some help with!
I’ve made a google sites page where I want to upload my latest updates of my game so my friends and other can try it out but I don’t know how! I’ve searched around both on youtube and here on the forum/answers but everything tells me to use dropbox wich cant be used any longer since they have taken away the Public folder for new users!
If anyone know of another good FTP that I can use (And maybe how to use?) I would be glad if you could tell me!

(I thought this might be the best place to post this but if not then I could post it somewhere else…)

“If you create a thread please provide a description of your work and some screenshots. Don’t just link to a webplayer or download. Give us some hint of what we will be looking at.”

I can’t help you with the uploading problem but at least post some screenshots of your game so we can have a look.

Looks awesome

Can I mabey use Google drive somehow?

For?

For uploading the game to my google sites wich I wanted help with!

If you wanna do a webplayer online, I prefer Dropbox. Easy, fast, working.

Well it don’t. Can I ask you one thing? DId you read my first post in this thread? (Sry If I sound rude)

From your video, the game looks as if it has solid mechanics! The graphical work is phenomenal! My only critique is that the flame in the torch appears to be too fast (maybe set it to half of that speed). As for the dropbox webplayer, check this link out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRAC6WzZzzg

Looks great man, cant argue with that.

Here’s what i miss when it comes to enviroments in ALL RPG’s lately, especially the Fantasy based ones.

The world doesnt seem old enough. Skyrim pulls this off simply because they spend alot fo time adding small details to an ancient world. What i mean is, i persoanlly dont like trees that are “clean” and has a cutoff base to the ground, and no grass around it. I know u might not have come far enough into development, but i like fantasygames to look really old. forexample have things around the campfire like old rags, maybe some used plyers, some wooden tools to imply people have used it, or add grass around it to make it look like it’s been there for decades. same with the trees, they tend to come out of the ground in fantasy, roots almost wanting to move the tree, and alot of mushrooms and grass around them. things tend to grow around threes because of the shade and humidity. same around buildings, stuff grow up the walls and really blends in human made objects with nature.

Im just a sucker for details, they just add so much more to an already great looking game. Updates pliz!

Oh and as for dropbox, i just made the account and i have a public folder. U have to register ur PC with the account for it to show up. Should be some syncing options or soemthing that tells u to link ur PC with the account somehow. I made mine like 2 days go just for webplayers, and it works wonders.

Tnx for the feedback! Really great tips!
But the dropbox public folder should be gone!? They have stated that all new accounts since August should no longer get the public folder due to what hapend with Megaupload! And I should have linked my PC… :s

Hey! I got it to work in google sites now!
I had to burrow a friends dropbox acc…
It wont work for crome though, I dont know why… :stuck_out_tongue:
