hi, i’m not sure if this is in the right topic (i hope it is)

i’m going to attempt to make an RPG game, but i have little experience with unity (i understand it) i don’t know scripting or animating (wow, i barely know anything lol) but i am determined to one day make an RPG game.
since i don’t know scripting or animating i was wondering if anyone could maybe help me out by letting me use any old scripts you might have or animated RPG characters, maybe i could get some help making the game, but i have no money to spend making a game

i would really appreciate it if anyone could help me out

Good luck but RPG = Role Playing Game. Saying “RPG game” is redundant and points to a rather shallow understanding of what the genre holds. Would I be right to assume that the type of game you have in mind is a guy that kills things with the weapon of his choice with a few stats like power, health, stamina and all the “quests”, so to speak, also completely revolve around finding and killing things?

No offense, just curious.

you’re pretty much right lol, but i plan on making quite a few stat/attributes such as dexterity, vitality, magic power and strength

So you used attempted and RPG in the same sentence, geez i swear we’ve had enough of posts like these in the forum we don’t need more. I guarantee you that you WILL give up and wont get anywhere, sorry but its the truth and so far this is my evidence…

“I am DETERMINED to make an rpg ONE day…”

Like honestly, you’ve picked the most tedious and hardest project to work on, how about try starting with a moveable cube that shoots bullets? Be realistic do you know even where to start? You cant take old scripts and modify them to make them the way you want to as you mentioned, that makes no sense cause you just said yourself you don’t know any scripting… Do you know how to declare a simple function? How about change the position of a game object in real world space? How about using Vector3 and raycasts? Or how about even declaring a boolean expression?

What I say is ultimately doing nothing more but helping you the troubles, take my advice, drop this fantasy idea of yours that you can accomplish this alone and wake up to reality… I hope I made myself clear and didn’t burst any bubbles…

You don’t have to know any scripting, but you will have to come up with some game art/models for it to be anything worth playing. Good luck!
